I am also a fan of the Screaming Jets. I first saw them at a Monash Union night
and asa result remember very little of the night. Except for the fact that it was
a good night.I have since seen them on numerous occasions and found that
you don't have to be blinddrunk to enjoy seeing them
(Nott that there is anything wrong with being blind drunk).

The Jets Are Still Screaming The Screaming Jets have promised venues across
the country to leave behind smoking wreckage in their wake. I'm hoping The Jets
decide to bring along their wind machine for the completerock execution.
After recently signing with Grudge Records (Universal), The Jets are hoping to return
to the status they enjoyed in the early 90s. With the release of their fifth album Scam
they carry the blessing of the Managing Director of Universal Music who was disappointed not to sign them earlier. Singer Dave Gleeson bashfully
stated 'We never won anything thisbig before.' So this Tuesday
takes on a whole new meaning with The Screaming Jets
pumping tunes at The Backroom. The night begins with local band Seven who
I'm sure will hold their own on this night of ball tearing rock.

Screaming Jets Style: Pub rock, Australian hard rock. Fairly blokey.
A Newcastle group 'discovered' by JJJ FM if I remember correctly.
Their albums range from fairly easy going to more rough stuff, and on the
whole their songs aren't really that meaningful. However they certainly
are extremely good. They also have a great knack of playing cover tunes like
nobody else. Good live reputation and a few very well known tunes of their own.
I guess they are a 'good times' band. - Score: 8.5 out of 10.

The Screaming Jets The Screaming Jets we hear you say.
Has Area-7 gone mad. Yes, Yes they have. No notreally. Area-7 did a bunch of shows
with the Jets last year and they are great. One show Area-7 played in Gosford with
them there was only 1 person going off at the front whilst everyone else just
stood around andwatched... that person was the drummer from the Jets and from
that moment on there was an instant bond. They actually asked Area-7 to tour with
them again on their current shows but we couldn't do it. Great band, Great guys.

The Screaming Jets All for One Mercury Records
These Aussies can play! The Screaming Jets have exploded onto the North American
scene with a 10-song debut that shines, grooves, scorches and cranks with clean style
and in good taste. Vocalist Dave Gleeson, guitarist/background vocalist Grant Walmsley, guitarist Richard Lara, bassist/background vocalist Paul Woseen and drummer Brad Heaneyhave developed a catchy sound that easily draws the listener in.
The hooks are bright and the vocals brilliantly clean. In fact, not a drop of mud,
in the mix or otherwise, can be found in the whole recording. Truly a polished product.
The Screaming Jets maynot have what you need if you demand more crunch than craft, but the balanced edge this band from down under has attained on songs like "Needle" and "Sister Tease" are more than enough to satisfy almost any hard rock aficionado. The other tracks on the record sizzle with guitar and vocal firepower at times and could pacify the wildest beast with their extremely digestible arrangements at others. If you're looking for new musical tricks, you won't find them in the musicianship of The Screaming Jets, but the band's debut does offer a fresh approach
to album writing: make every song a good one.
